Learning an instrument can be fun if you have the right teacher!
In 2015 I quit my day job in pharmacy to do what I love: teach and play piano! I now teach out of my home in Akron, with my three fluffy assistants: Casper, Mocha and Ninja (pictured, top to bottom).
I am the vice president/president elect of the Summit County chapter of the Ohio Music Teachers Association (OMTA) . Being a part of this organization means I have the opportunity to continually learn and improve my teaching.
Originally from Western New York, I’ve lived in Ohio, Iowa, and Missouri, before moving back to Ohio in 2012. My piano teachers have included Phyllis East and Mary Cobb at SUNY Fredonia. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors in piano performance at the University of Akron with Laura Silverman.
I also hold a Bachelors in Music Performance from SUNY Fredonia and a Masters in Music Performance from BSGU, both in the oboe.
In January my husband and I welcomed the newest edition to our studio, William. Depending on what time your lesson is, you may meet him!
